ParEnt, nutrition for life
ParEnt is a software for parenteral nutrition (NP) designed and developed by Link-Up in 2017 on behalf of SIN (Italian Society of Neonatology). ParEnt has been designed to provide a unique, reference electronic prescribing method, based on uniform criteria in the calculation of PN by each Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, at the same time preventing potentially fatal prescribing errors.
ParEnt brings benefits in terms of calculation precision, thanks to advanced algorithms verified through tests and validations, completeness of the database in terms of parenteral and enteral ingredients and drugs.

The Algorithms
ParEnt provides functionalities for integration between enteral and parenteral supplies, thanks to an algorithm that avoids the dispersion of nutrients and ensures the correct overall intake, along with functionalities for counting and appropriately scale drugs, separate infusion lines and blood components, evaluating their compatibility with the PN bag.
